Spring

Neutral with Texture

Wearing neutral tops or dresses allows for the Spring colors to really POP and give extra color to your photos while also keeping you as the centerpeice!

Corresponding but NOT Matching

When working with multiple people it is important to remember that a COLOR PALLET is your best friend! Finding colors/textures that you love and then working backwards from there is always the best way to find outfits that you love!

Functional & Comfy

A lot of times in the Spring, we are constantly battling between warm and cool weather- so finding outfits that are functional for all weather types is very important! A lot of times this comes in the form of a cute vest or cardigan!

Summer

Colorful, Simple Patterns

You can never go wrong with a maxi dress! Adding a little pop of color with a fun pattern brings out the beauty of a beautiful Summer field or garden!

Corresponding Textures

You may look at this photo and see a beautiful couple's engagement photos... BUT I see Linen, Khaki, Cotton and Leather all brought together beautifully!

Earth & Neutral Tones

Summer brings such beautiful landscapes and adding a little bit of color, especially when working with a group brings such a gorgeous element to your photos!

Fall

Earth Tones

It is important to consider your landscape when choosing your outfits- and when the Fall leaves are changing, nothing pops more than light colors (white, cream, tan) and bright textures (light denim, leather, linen).

Warm Textures

Fall is the time to break out those sweaters and jackets! Fall time fashion is one of my favorites!

Simple Patterns

The plaid coats and shirts are a Fall time staple in Southern Indiana and of course we have them in fall time photos! It is important to not add too many patters in addition to the plaid, but instead try new textures!

Winter

Little POP of Color

In Winter there is rarely color present in photos besides the occasional Pine tree, so adding that color in your outfit is always a great way to add uniqueness to a Winter Photoshoot!

Warmth>>>

For Winter photoshoots, WARMTH is always at the top of the list when it comes to choosing outfits! Adding a toboggan or coat will never hurt!

Knits & Denim

You can never EVER go wrong with the simple sweater and jeans! Or spice it up and add a dress under the sweater or a fun pair of boots!

More Outfit Ideas!

Sports Photos!

Even if you do an "indoor" sport or club, get creative with your location and tailor your uniform to the location! Add jeans, a skirt, or a letterman and make it your own!

Holiday Themes

We love a theme around here! Even if you don't wear your Christmas Pajamas to your shoot, wearing holiday colors (like the red, white and blue above) can add a fun and memorable element to your phtoos!

Classics

A simple black or white outfit scheme can almost never fail you, especially when working indoors or around historic structures!

Outfits I DO NOT RECCOMEND...

While there are exceptions to everything- I generally do not recommend...

  • Clothes with wording or large brand symbols
  • Neon Colors
  • "Loud" Patterns
  • ***Outfits you do not feel comfortable in***
